The results of mandatory workplace inspection showed that welfare facilities for employees did not meet the standards of hygiene. Toilets were found to be in a poor state and in need of repair. They had no water and soap, were dirty, and lacked even the simplest hand-drying means. The employer had a chance to improve the situation but did not use it. As a result, he was obligated to pay out almost $10,000 in fines and more than $2,500 in court and other costs.
