The projected plans for a building that has been proposed in Mumbai, India have glass enclosed pools literally hanging off the side of the thirty-seven story building! Could you imagine floating face down in a pool, staring down hundreds of feet off the side of a skyscraper? The fear-defying plans call for glass pool barriers to surround arc-shaped pools, both side and bottom circling around the Om-shaped building. Called the Aquaria Grande Residential Towers, the plans were conceptualized by the Wadhwa Design Group. The impressive and ambitious plans call for for glass barrier fencing around a giant common-area pool, a clubhouse, a parking garage, and a very uniquely designed dance floor in the center of the “Om” inside a window glass egg that actually opens to reveal a glass lotus flower. The design is exquisite although it poses many safety questions and concerns. The project has yet to be approved.
