How often do you think of trying to penetrate into a foreign market? At the same time, how often do you think about the way your country protects your industry and business position from foreign competition? At times of major economic shifts, the role of state in the national economy becomes extremely important. Like many other glass manufacturers and services providers, we at glass repair Gilbert expect that our government will create a good basis for pursuing our strategic objectives and achieving the desired financial and business outcomes. Apparently, it should not be surprising that certain countries and nations seek to defend their glass industries by all possible means. This is particularly the case of countries, whose economies generate considerable profits and revenues from glass manufacturing. The case of Brazil is very demonstrative: about a month ago, the country’s government decided to raise import taxes on 100 products, including glass, to protect the national industry from major economic failures.
Protectionism,- someone would say, but we at glass repair Gilbert suggest that the state must help its businesses and manufacturers to survive during economic crises. Since 2008, we have not yet fully recovered from the global financial shake. At the same, international glass manufacturers and those who had their business hopes with the Brazilian glass market will have to reconsider their plans and develop new strategies.
The good news is that changes in Brazilian import taxes will be temporary and, expectedly, won’t last for more than a year. It’s like a temporary break for both the importers and exporters of glass products to Brazil. It is like giving the participants of the glass industry a chance to review their beliefs and business patterns and make themselves look “fresher” and more original. Nothing comes easy, and difficulties usually indicate that you are on the right way. Don’t be afraid of problems and watch what you are doing to conquer international glass consumers.
